WIMBLEDON JUNIOR TENNIS ACADEMY |
Wimbledon Racquet Club is now offering its annual Winter Junior Development Program under the direction of Drew Mascarin. Since 1974 Wimbledon has achieved an excellent reputation as the training ground for many fine players. Professional Tour players such as Susie Mascarin, Aaron Krickstein and Carrie Cunningham have come out of this program as well as many fine college players. It has been a tradition at Wimbledon to offer the best in tennis instruction in an atmosphere that makes the experience a pleasant one for the beginner, the intermediate and the more challenging levels of competition. It is also a unique opportunity to receive instruction from some of the best professionals in Michigan such as Sam Poole, Brandon Still, Jill Pietrowsky, Joe Shaheen, Mike Rose, Alex Galvin, and Madeline Paolucci. **Tournament competition and USA Junior Travel Team Tennis is required for those students in our Tournament Players Camp. |

FUTURE STARS (AGES 4 TO 10) Monday 9 a.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. - This is a one hour program where young people are introduced to tennis in a fun and positive atmosphere. Basic concepts are covered including stroke production and movement skills which are important for their future development. As they progress, they will also begin to work on rally skills.

| BEGINNERS to INTERMEDIATE (AGES 8 TO 18) Monday and Wednesday 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. - This is a two hour program where shot repetition and further stroke development are emphasized. This group will be divided separating the more advanced players from the novices. In this class players develop consistency, control and are introduced to match play. Cost

| JUNIOR EXCELLENCE (AGES 10 TO 18) Monday - Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with a half hour break)
This is a four hour program designed strictly for players interested in high school tennis and tournament competitions. Shot repetition and further stroke development are emphasized. High intensity drills to polish strokes, footwork and off court conditioning will be offered. Players are expected to be committed to the hard work needed for successful tournament and high school play. Discipline and hard work are stressed with concentration on match play and strategy. Cost
